Falcons Place Brian Robinson on IR; 49ers Place Kirk on IR

Saturday’s roster moves bring a couple of stash-and-start decisions before Sunday.

The Falcons are placing Brian Robinson on IR. He was already out against Cincinnati with a hamstring injury after missing the previous two games. He must now miss at least four contests; his earliest return is Week 14 against Cleveland. Atlanta’s Week 11 bye does not count toward that minimum. The Falcons signed Khalil Herbert from the practice squad to back up Bijan Robinson. Bijan remains a locked-in start. Herbert is a handcuff stash, not a start while Bijan is healthy. Stash Brian Robinson if you have IR space; he’s droppable in shallower redraft leagues. (Falcons.com, CBS Sports / RotoWire, Falcons schedule)

The 49ers place Christian Kirk on injured reserve and clear Demarcus Robinson for Sunday. Kirk injured his meniscus in Thursday’s practice and must miss at least four games. Kyle Shanahan said Friday that a decision on surgery was still pending. Kirk is droppable in most redraft leagues. San Francisco activated Robinson from IR and removed his questionable designation; he’s expected to play against the Raiders. With Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Kirk out, Robinson is a desperation option if you need a wide receiver. The 49ers also elevate KhaDarel Hodge from the practice squad.
